Description
This shows a thyroid gland, with an enlarged right lobe; the cut surface shows a nodule in which
there are a number of aggregates of colloid. The left lobe and isthmus appear normal.
History
This was an incidental finding at autopsy in a man who died of ischaemic heart disease.
